MacOSX El Capitan LOTW in Crash versions 1.5.13 and 2.0

Unread post by n0uk »

Good morning all.

I have been using RumLogNG for a while now happily but have starting experiencing a hard crash every time I try to download from LOTW.

Whether or not I have the Read from ARRL box checked or not, the whole rumlogng app crashes whilst performing the processing of QSL's from LOTW.

This had been working well but I think this may be the first time I have done so since upgrading the OS to the new El Capitan version. I have run the Disk Utility and a manual fsck in single user mode to ensure there is no disk or file corruption.

Wondering whether anyone else has started experiencing similar behaviour?

When it stopped working? Do you made changes?
Please check Console for correlating messages.
Go to the RUMlog preferences under the LoTW tab and set the "Last QSL in date" to a newer date. (Or use the date for tomorrow) Maybe there is a recordset causing trouble.

Good evening, Tom.

Thank you for the suggestion to advancing the date in the Preferences/LOTW tab. That seems to have corrected the problem and I was able to download LOTW updates without the crash.

I had not made any other notable changes to any settings but your suggestion did indeed help.

Thanks again and very 73

Good to hear the fault is gone, but you may miss now QSLs. Do you remember the date was shown before? Now you have to go further into the past to find the point where it crashes again, all you have downloaded all QSLs.
