RUMLog Audio / Setting Challenge

Unread post by NZ4CW »

Configuration:
WSJT-X (v3.0.0) --> RUMLog (v6.0.2 (698)) --> AetherSDR (v0.8.6) on MacBook Pro (Ventura 13.7.8) as remote client, to FlexRadio 6600 (Server). Using BlackHole 2ch for audio pipe across configuration.

Base operational functionality seems to be fine across configuration:
- Test CAT keys Server from WSJT-X. RX DIGU signals and pan adapter good
- Using TUNE from AetherSDR produces XMIT output on Server
EXCEPT
- Using TUNE from WSJT-X keys server but there is no XMIT output. I CAN hear audio tone being generated from WSJT-X if BlackHole output is temporarily switched to Speaker but in normal BlackHole output mode it never reaches server

Appears audio pipe (or setting in RUMLog) stops in RUMLog based on the above observations / tests.

Too many hours and configurations tests in this effort. Looking for something more concrete to get me over this hurdle. Thanks, Craig

Which role plays RUMlog in the audio chain?

Hello Tom - the key role is input / output across the audio devices, triggering transceiver control of received DIGU (in the case of WSJT-X), band / frequency, and if all in place, the ability via TCP for CAT to engage the transmitter (server). I am guessing somewhere across this chain, including RUMLog, is CAT and PTT control which for PTT I am not sure is working. From WSJT-X, PTT is greyed out until CAT tests positive, then becomes active but shows red in color.
