Over the weekend I participated in my first contest - the arrl digital contest. Being new to both contesting and rumlogng, I wasn't aware of the built-in contest functionality. I had wsjtx set to automatically export my logs to rumlogng and that worked perfectly well. After the contest I tried to export the logs to cabrillo but I couldn't find a way to do this. Instead I discovered the contest functionality but didn't see a way to transfer all the contest logs from my main rumlogng window into the contest window, so I exported them as an adif from the main window and then imported them into the contest window. Once in the logs appeared in the contest window I could export them as cabrillo. The only problem with this workaround is that I don't see the grid square details in the contest window even though they are in the original logs and of course in the adif export of them. The scoring also seems to be off, not taking into account distance between grid square, presumably because of the missing grid square details. Is there any way to solve this within rumlogng or should I try to use some external tool to convert the adif to cabrillo?
Cheers,
Frank

contest log export
Re: contest log export
There is no build in function for that. When you are familiar with ADIF and a text editor you may be able to manipulate the ADIF file to get the correct fields. RL expects the tags <stx_string> and <srx_string> for the given and received control numbers - here the grid squares.
