RUMLog CAT (and WSJT-X)

Working FT8, WSJT-X controls CAT (I switched off RUMlogNG CAT). RL logging then also works perfectly. However, when I want to work CW, and close WSJT-X, and want to use RL CAT and switching it on, CAT will not work. Rig: IC-7300. Computer: iOS 10.14. I am doing something wrong and need advice. Thanks in advance.

Let RUMlog do always CAT control, no need for switching.
CAT will not work is not a sufficient information to trouble shoot.

Thanks for your attention. Using WSJT-X and RL together works fine (on data modes). WSJT-X CAT box is ticked in. RL CAT box is not ticked in. With this arrangement, I cannot log CW QSOs on RL as RL-CAT will not start when I tick the RL CAT box. WSJT-X has no tick box for "CAT off" (only alternatives) and closing WSJT-X does not mean that RL CAT kicks in, as I thought it perhaps would.
You seem to suggest that RL CAT is an option, also with WSJT-X running? I am afraid I don't follow. How should this be configured? Again, sorry for my lack of skill. Thanks in advance for suggestions.

Success /nearly/. After a night and a day with lots of trial-and-error work, I got RL to take CAT-command over WSJT-X. All modes can be logged and the IC-7300 follows nicely both RL and WSJT-X, respectively. Marvellous! One problem, though. WSJT-X will now not switch the rig to transmit! The application in itself works fine, and shows me as if I was transmitting. What is wrong? Hints are most welcome.

There are two settings required in RUMlog to allow switching PTT:

• Select a PTT option in the respective TRX settings
• Allow WSJT-X to switch PTT in the WSJT section of the UDP settings

I successfully got RUMlog to command WSJT-X (previous note). Logging and CAT work fine. But two problems suddenly appeared. They are WSJT-X issues, I, think, but appeared only after joining that application with RL. First, double-clicking does no longer enable the TX. In fact, the relay audibly switches on, but immediately after switches off. (As if no audio.) Second, the WSJT-X very useful colour scheme (worked before, new DXCC etc.) is no longer working.

Returning to the issue of enabling TX in WSJT-X by double-clicking. It works perfectly when using only WSJT-X-CAT. RUMlog CAT also works perfectly when using only RUMlog. Letting RUMlog and RUMlog CAT command and cooperate with WSTJ-X also seems to work fine, except that then the function of double-clicking to enable TX works erratically or not at all, immediately shutting down the TX after enabling it. I haven't yet found an explanation or solution.
