Hide is permanent from the keyboard

Command-H will hide the RUMlog window, but I cannot find a way to unhide it. Clicking the icon on the Dock does not unhide it. The menubar still shows RUMlog and the menu from the Dock icon still offers a "Hide" menuitem. The only thing I can do is quit.

If I hide the app with the menu choice it works fine (RUMlog > Hide RUMlog).

This is with RUMlog 5.0.2 and Mac OS X 10.7.4, but this has happened every time I have tried RUMlog, so it is not a new bug.

Menu --> Window --> Main Logging
or Command M

Command-M is minimize. That works. Command-H should be hide, but it doesn't work from the keyboard.

Maybe you have assigned these short cuts to other functions in the System Preferences. These will override the short cuts in an application, so you have to use the menu or switch off the 'global' short cuts.

I do not have any keyboard shortcuts defined. The only UI config is to use the old scroll direction.

I have only done a little Mac programming, but it looks to me like the keyboard Hide command is being sent to the window instead of to the app. The window hides, but the menubar remains RUMlog. When I use the menu for "Hide RUMlog", the whole app (window and menubar) hides. When I use Command-H, the window hides, but the menubar still shows the RUMlog menus. I think this leaves the app in a state where it cannot unhide.

I use Command-H all the time, so it is hard to not do it. I hit it without thinking, then I have to quit and restart RUMlog.

This should be easy to reproduce.

It may not be the standard, but in RUMlog Command H hides just the active window, not the whole application. Most of the time I have the main logging window hidden. There are a lot of other windows remaining open - Dx cluster, band map, grayling map, etc.

When you have just the logging window open, only the menu bar stays in view since the application is still active and the front most. To unhide the logging window, just press Command M or use Menu-->Window-->Main Logging
There is absolutely no need to restart RUMlog.

Nevertheless we can find a more conform shortcut, but the Hide functions itself are working great and are useful.
