Is there a way to hide the spots for already confirmed stations (totally black lines)?

Make your selection in the Preferences under the DX Alerts tab. See the screen shoot below.

Thanks I looked in there and was thinking that was just for the voice/email alerts.

Yes, initially this was the case. But later on somebody asked the same question like you and I added the "Show selected new ones only..." option.
