Help for a New User

I have just dowloaded the logging program and imported contacts. I have also reviewed the documentation but have some new user questions.

1. The download of ARRL DXCC credits was made and imported. However, not all of the QSOs that credit has been given for are being marked as V (verified). How to fix this?
2. The DXCC records that ARRL has go back to the 1960's before computerized records. In many cases credit was given but the call of the station worked along with other details is not included in the DXCC electronic record. How to mark that entity as being confirmed?
3. Importing all records from LoTW did not include two countries, KH8/S and VR. N8S was added to the log manually but when the confirmation record was downloaded and imported, this QSO was not updated. I ran the recompute process but the contact was not shown as verified.
4. A number of contacts show "P". Not sure what that means.

I have many more questions but help on these will do for a start.

Thanks,
Pete, W1RM

As you have mentioned before, you don't get full QSO records for the older QSOs for the Verified (or DXCC granted) status. RUMlog can mark only QSOs, when there is a match in the log. RUMlog tries the best to find a corresponding entry but this may fail. You will see the result in the overview shown after the import process. When this fails, you have to select manually a QSO and set the Verified flag. Just double click the QSO in question to open the QSO editor and tick the box DXCC credits granted.
3. Importing all records from LoTW did not include two countries, KH8/S and VR. N8S was added to the log manually but when the confirmation record was downloaded and imported, this QSO was not updated. I ran the recompute process but the contact was not shown as verified.
Do you talk about the QSO confirmed by LoTW or the QSO verified status? The Recompute function will just recalculate the DXCC entity, it never changes the Confirmed or Verified status of a QSO.
Again: At the end of the import process the table gives you information about failed entries. Read all given information very carefully. You have to check, why there is no match.
4. A number of contacts show "P". Not sure what that means.
Just Paper QSL confirmed, no LoTW confirmation.
