I resolved my choppy signal issue

It's very important to use the audio midi setup utility and set the sample rate to 48khz

This solved my issue with both without wires and wfview

I was using black hole and sound flower and setting the rate to 48k made the issue disappear

Now I have a smooth and clean and strong signal

I used blackhole today - I assume same solution for soundflower

Also check on restarts of the computer- it might reset

for the folks that have WithoutWires connected successfully to js8call - what rig type are you selecting in js8call?

Doesn't js8call support the IC-705?

using version 2.2.0 for mac, I don't see a listing for the ic-705 in the rig dropdown list.

i was under the impression that WithoutWire could forward cat control commands to the ic-705 over the wifi connection. is this incorrect?

ahh - i think i was missing that WithoutWire is exposing a TCP server that speaks the same protocol as the radio it's connecting to - not something like hamlib, correct?

It's just a relay, no intelligence inside.
